On Saturday, November 21, Jason Epstein, author of Eating: A Memoir, will be signing copies of his new book at the wonderful Di Palo’s Fine Foods in New York City’s Little Italy.
Di Palo’s is at 200 Grand Street, between Mott and Mulberry, and it’s one of the most fascinating cheese (and assorted other Italian goodies) shops that you’ll find in the city.

Thank you for your lovely book. I will treasure the John Duck cole slaw recipe, as I have been longing for it. After the Thanksgiving crush, I shall make it.The burned bits on the bottom of the stuffing wasn’t half bad either.
I had the opportunity to know Pierre Freney and Craig Claiborne as well. Pierre Franey taught me how to cook meat by feel. He made the most wonderful, simple meals.
Craig’s New Years eve parties were memorable. Pity that I was so young then and took everything for granted.
